Wrapping stuff up...
While we were wrapping up all our tests and such in our other classes, we were just getting started in computer science. We reviewed the Netflix privacy policy and scanned through the facts. We also reviewed our previous homework of the data journal and the extension of the scenario activity. We did a partner activity which required us to discuss what we did and why we did it. We continued with this activity throughout the week and as we only had two days. We also touched upon problem solving with our groups and solved 4 problems. We got stuck on two problems because we overcomplicated them so much. we also got stuck on one problem because we could not figure out the stupidly silly equation

The week before acl
This week was a tense one. Evan, Lien, and i decide to work together on the scenario project. We chose the netflix scenario and proceeded to create a long and tedious powerpoint at Lien's discretion. We did pretty much nothing the first class but format the policy and somewhat scan over the netflix privacy policy. We then rushed the next work day and in thirty minutes we came up with a presentable powerpoint including facts about Lien's terrible choice in movies. We presented it to the class and i think we did a decent job. On Friday we watched several video from ted talks and the like. My favorite had to be the one where the guy created a 50 dollar equilent of a digital whiteboard that would normally cost about 2 or three thousand dollars. I liked it because he made it out of a wii remote and other things that i could easily find in my house. He even put the software that he created for on his website for free. For free! Well that is all for now. until next week, adios.

First real post
this past week in computer programming we went over several statistics having to do with computers, the internet and technology in general. We learned that social networking is now the most popular activity on the internet currently. We also learned that ninety percent of people dont know what control/command f does. We also decided which computer to buy for Blake's mother and chose several computers from her to choose from all running on the window's 7 operating system. We also learned some binary code and how computers read it. we also learned that there is a rule that states that every 18 months, technology will either get twice the proccessing power or half as small. Another interesting thing that we did was max out the options for both an Alienware desktop and an Apple Mac Pro. The Alienware ended up with 32 gigs of ram while the mac pro ended up with 64. In the end we thought that this was just ridiculous.
